Zanzibar, often called the “Spice Island,” is a tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Tanzania. Famous for its powdery white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and swaying palm trees, the islands offer the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
Beyond its stunning coastline, Zanzibar is rich in history and culture. Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcases winding alleys, bustling markets, and a fascinating blend of African, Arab, Indian, and European influences. The island’s spice farms invite you to explore fragrant gardens where cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg grow.
For nature lovers, Zanzibar offers vibrant coral reefs, opportunities for snorkeling and diving, and encounters with rare wildlife both on land and at sea. Whether you’re drawn to history, culture, adventure, or simply soaking up the sun, Zanzibar promises an unforgettable experience.
The island of Zanzibar is known for its different sea states. The position of the moon influences the position of the ocean. Twice a day the position of the ocean changes, the difference can be as much as three metres. A spectacular natural phenomenon that you must experience for yourself!
The ocean is perfect for swimming and snorkelling during the high tide. You can snorkel and jump into the sea from one of our Jetty Bars and explore the underwater world of the Indian Ocean.
During the low tide, the beach is ideal for a long beach walk. During your walk you will spot many locals looking for seaweed, an interesting event to see. Discover the surroundings of our resorts during a walk on the beach!
There is always something to do at our resorts! We have an animation team to entertain our guests and they organise several activities during the day but also in the evening! Examples of such activities are: water polo, beach volleyball, dance shows and excursions. At the reception you can request information about all the possibilities during your stay with us.
