Early Morning Pick-Up
Pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar between 4:00 AM – 5:00 AM, depending on your location.
Flight to Mafia Island
Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your morning flight (6:00 AM – 7:00 AM) direct to Mafia Island.
Flight time: approximately 50 minutes.
Arrival & Briefing
Upon arrival, meet our local team and transfer to the Whale Shark Base for a safety and conservation briefing.
Whale Shark Experience
Board a traditional local boat and head out into the warm waters of Mafia Island to search for whale sharks.
Enjoy an unforgettable snorkeling experience swimming alongside these gentle ocean giants.
Lunch & Relaxation
After the tour, return to the base for a local lunch, including soft drinks and fresh snacks.
Flying Foxes Visit
Visit the famous Flying Foxes of Mafia Island and observe these incredible animals in their natural habitat.
Optional Kilindoni Sightseeing
If time allows, enjoy a short tour of Kilindoni Town, including the local market, fishing harbor, and daily community life.
Return to Zanzibar
Transfer to Mafia Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival, your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the tour or transfer date are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made 24–48 hours before the service will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service, or no-shows, are non-refundable.
- Any changes to bookings must be communicated in advance.

How To Pay
- A 40% deposit is required to confirm your tour booking. The remaining 80% balance can be paid in cash at your hotel one day after arrival.
- I will personally meet you at the hotel reception to give a short briefing about our tours.
- After the briefing, you can pay the remaining balance in full, and I will write a receipt for your booking.
- If you prefer to pay by credit card, a 5% transaction fee will apply.
