Tour Plan
A Village Tour in Zanzibar offers an authentic and meaningful insight into local life beyond the typical tourist areas. This experience allows guests to explore traditional villages, observe daily activities, and gain a deeper understanding of the culture, customs, and way of living of the local community.
During the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with residents, learn about local crafts, farming practices, and family life, as well as experience the warm hospitality that Zanzibar is known for. It is a culturally enriching journey that provides a genuine connection to the island and its people.
As natives born and raised on the island, we are proud to share our stories, traditions, and way of life with you. You’ll observe daily village activities, interact with friendly locals, and even learn a few Swahili words Karibu sana! (You’re very welcome!)
Important Notes
There are areas with specific community traditions and dress customs. When going to villages and places of worship, a little more respect for others and modesty in clothing is appreciated,
Make sure to wear the right shoes for walking and the right clothes for the activities that will be done
Kindness Tip
You can brina little presents for the children in the community, such as pens, coloring books and other teaching materials. The people in the village will appreciate this
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the tour or transfer date are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made 24–48 hours before the service will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service, or no-shows, are non-refundable.
- In case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, we offer a free rescheduling of the service.
- Any changes to bookings must be communicated in advance.
Advance Reservation
- To guarantee your spot, especially during peak tourist seasons, we strongly recommend booking your tour in advance.
- Early booking helps you avoid last-minute stress and ensures your reservation is secured
How To Pay
- A 20% deposit is required to confirm your tour booking. The remaining 80% balance can be paid in cash at your hotel one day after arrival.
- I will personally meet you at the hotel reception to give a short briefing about our tours.
- After the briefing, you can pay the remaining balance in full, and I will write a receipt for your booking.
- If you prefer to pay by credit card, a 5% transaction fee will apply.
